KAUA'I MENEHUNE MAGIC

A window to an awesome display—looking into the Waimea Canyon!

Kaua‘i, the oldest of the Hawaiian islands, is like a fairy tale. Going by Kalyan Patra‘s narration of his great time on this speck on a sailor‘s map, you had better believe in fairy tales. »»

CHARGER

Charger at his best, earning his reputation and name!

During the last decade, the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve became famous for its tiger sightings. This attracted wildlife photographers from all over the world who wanted to shoot wild tigers in their prime habitat. This gave the tigers of Bandhavgarh much needed publicity. MURUD JANJIRA

Do not get defensive at what we say but the fact of the matter is— if you want to build a fort that your enemies can not trivialise, use the elements of Nature to your advantage. Rajen Makharia tells us of how this basic principle worked for the fort at Murud-Janjira. »»

TSO FAR, TSO GOOD

The Chang La vista.

It is off most maps that tourists carry. It is not on the 20th century circuits that we still frequent. It is out-of-this-world. Getting there may give you a sore back but may also get you some wild asses. It is so far but then, it is the Pang Kong Tso! A lake in Ladakh that is worth a pilgrimage. So proves G. B. Mukherjee. »»
