ANNOUNCEMENT

January 18, 2008

“AT PEACE WITH EARTH!”

Dear Fellow Conservationist,

There are many out there ready to expose black deeds of organisations (and such exposure is definitely needed) but too few take the effort to applaud those who go that extra mile to make our environment healthier. After all, if a tree falls in the forest, someone hears it fall and many bemoan the fact but if a sapling sprouts, few are there to encourage it to grow!

Having ourselves received the ‘National Award for Excellence in Publication’ five times for promoting positive awareness of our Natural heritage and winning lay-people over to the cause of conservation, we felt it was time to share the encouragement.

This is not a matter of shouting from rooftops about what should be done anyway but a matter of holding aloft a few green-thinking and positive-acting entities for others to emulate.

Towards this end, we instituted the

SRISHTI
G-CUBE AWARDS
for
GOOD GREEN GOVERNANCE

The first Awards were given away in April 2007 by Mr Kamal Nath, Min of Commerce & Industry. Most business houses in India had applied for the Awards and were there to attend.

This is to announce the 2nd G-CUBE AWARDS, to be given away in April, 2008. Once again, Mr Kamal Nath has consented to grace the occasion with his participation.

We hope your organisation will apply for the G-CUBE AWARDS 2007 and share with the world your environmental initiatives—you deserve the recognition and your peers need to be inspired!

The last date for submission of entries is February 18, 2008.
Please e-mail us if you would like to receive an application form.

With warm regards,
